Men of Valor

The Mighty Men of Valor

There are three three distinct characteristics of being a Man of Valor; strength, courage, and passion.

In the book of Judges, verse 6:12, the Messenger of the YahWah spoke to Gideon informing him that he is a "mighty man of valor".

The phrase "Geebor He'Chayeel" is a Hebrew phrase which means: Mighty (Powerful, Prevailer) of Value (Worth, Wealth, Force or Power). In these modern time, the title "mighty man of valor" applies to a man who possess those same qualities.

A 'Gibor-Hechayil', a Valiant Warrior', can apply to one who is valiant in a spiritual battle as well as being valiant in a physical battle. And, there is always a spiritual component to any physical battle, any physical activity, be it a conflict or simply being able to accomplish the mission as we face the challenges of everyday life.

Raising boys to be men!

I was blessed to have a father/daddy who raised me to be a man of valor.

Becoming a man is more than just one's physical age, it is about maturity. And all men should strive to be men of valor. Being a man means you have certain responsibilities, and you take care of those responsibilities regardless of what challenges you might face.

To be raised is to be developed, brought up, nurtured, to be reared by an adult or more than one adult. I was raised by my parents and my grandparents, as well as aunts and uncles and the adults of our community. Some would say "reared" instead of "raised", in the idea that humans are reared and crops are raised. The concept is that care givers care for young children until they are able to care for themselves, they are not left to simply grow wild.

The child is taught to learn and master all the knowledge required to be a productive citizen in his or her society.

Our commitment is to uplift, heal and empower your soul keeping it Strong & Mighty.

Psalms of David

The psalms referred to are the Psalms of David

They are found in all regular translations of the Bible. I have been exploring Psalms that can be read for different purposes, such as money, love, and prosperity, but also psalms that can be read and prayed every day for blessings and spiritual guidance and favor. One of the main ways that I have been working with is by reading psalms on a daily basis.

They all provide Power and Prosperity. The Secret to the Power of Psalms for Prosperity is in Prayer to Yahwah. In order to make use of this power, you have to Know Yahwah.

The Power of Psalms

The understanding of the Power of Psalms is in the name Yahwah, and is found in understanding the Shema -

Shema Yisrael – "Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One".

However, please note that YahWah is not a God!

Shema Yisrael – Shema (Eng: Hear) Yisrael (Ish-Ra-el - man-Power-strength,authority)
"Hear O Israel - listen and obey oh man of power, strength and authority),
the Lord our God (Yahwah is our El (strength and Authority)),
the Lord is One" (Yahwah is One - one substance, there is no substance but Yahwah)

Psalm 25:13

New American Standard Bible (©1995)
His soul will abide in prosperity, And his descendants will inherit the land.

Psalm 122:7

New American Standard Bible (©1995)
"May peace be within your walls, And prosperity within your palaces."

The Secret of Success

Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself in the YahWah and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm for Successful Business

Psalm 8 If you wish a successful business venture or to procure the goodwill in your business transactions, you should pray this Psalm!

The name Yahwah

In common belief, the Holy name Yahwah is believed to be the name of the "God" of Israel - or God’s personal name based upon the ancient Semitic language. However, the "God" concept takes away from the powers of Psalms.

Yahwah is the personal name of the Holy One of Israel based upon the ancient Semitic language. In Biblical Hebrew, the letter 7 was known as waw and pronounced as w, as in Yhwh ( Yahwah ). In Modern Hebrew this letter is known as vav and pronounced as v.

The derivation Yahwah is from the ancient Semitic words HaYah and HaWah.
HaYah means "The Life or The Living", and
HaWah means "The Beginning or The happening".

Other words associated HaWah are: ( Be, is, was, became, happened and appeared ).

Psalm 1 the Hebraic concept for Men of Valor

Psalm 1

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the wicked, nor standeth in the way of evildoers, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

4 The wicked are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

5 Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor evildoers in the congregation of the righteous.

6 For the Yahwah knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the wicked shall perish.

The Hebraic ( i.e. Jewish ) concept of Psalm 1

Practical
This is not religious and the Hebrew Scriptures were never meant to be religious. They are Instructions to be used in our Daily lives. The following of Correct Instructions will help us live a long and prosperous life. (- enjoying vigorous and healthy growth : flourishing - marked by success or economic well-being, successful business and social status.)

Benefit
The benefit of knowing the Hebraic meanings of psalms are; we will Prosper when we know, and follow Correct Instructions! To prosper is to bring forth an abondance of that which we Work to Produce.

Who can Prosper?
This is for everyone who learn the Hebraic (Jewish) Instructions usually translated as (Law) and follow the principles as taught from the Hebraic perspective. Its not just for the Jewish people - Correct Instructions will benefit all people regardless of where or when you were born. Your age and gender does not matter - just a willing heart and an open mind, ready to listen, learn and follow Correct Instructions.

Psalm 1:1
Happy is the man that hath not walked in the counsel of the wicked, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the seat of the scornful.

Hebrew Concept of Psalm 1:1

This means that those who do not follow the path or instructions of wicked people and do not take a stand (do not support) instructions (ideas and knowledge) that lead to destruction, and do not find rest by sitting among those who only have "bad" (negative) thoughts and conversation - will be happy.

Psalm 1:2
But his delight is in the Instructions (Law) of the Yahwah (LORD); and in His Instructions doth he meditate day and night.

Hebrew Concept of Psalm 1:2

Yahwah is the source of all Wisdom and the person who think upon the instructions that teaches us wisdom, and follow those instructions, will be happy.

Psalm 1:3
And he shall be like a tree planted by streams of water, that bringeth forth its fruit in its season, and whose leaf doth not wither; and in whatsoever he doeth he shall prosper.

Hebrew Concept of Psalm 1:3

When a tree is planted by streams of water, its roots always have plenty of fresh water. Thus the tree is able bring forth much fruit in its proper season and the leaf of such a tree will not wither because it has plenty of water. Thus, the tree prosper - that is, it produce an abondance of fruit. Thus, when a person listen (hear, and follow) the Instructions that come forth from Yahwah, they too will Prosper (produce an abondance) of whatever they work towards.

Its also important to note here that the Hebrew concept of worship is the same as work - whatever you labor to do is your worship.

Psalm 1:4
Not so the wicked; but they are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Hebrew Concept of Psalm 1:4

The wicked do not prosper. When the works of the wicked are found out, the wicked are driven away.

Chaff is the dry, scaly protective casings of the seeds of cereal grain, or similar fine, dry, scaly plant material such as scaly parts of flowers, or finely chopped straw. Chaff is inedible for humans and is often considered to be a waste material, ploughed into the soil or burnt.

Chaff as a waste product from grain processing leads to a metaphorical use of the term, to refer to something seen as worthless.

Psalm 1:5
Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor evildoers in the congregation of the righteous.

Hebrew Concept of Psalm 1:5

The wicked will be destroyed when they come before the judgment and the evildoers will not be allowed to be with the righteous.

Psalm 1:6
For the Yahwah knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the wicked shall perish.

Hebrew Concept of Psalm 1:6

Yahwah know the heart and mind of the people, those who do not follow Correct Instructions are labeled as evildoers and wicked. Those who follow Correct Instructions are labeled as Righteous. In the judgment, the wicked are seperated from the righteous, such as the process of loosening the chaff from the seed grain called threshing. The chaff (wicked) will perish (burnt and/or placed in the ground), While the righteous will prosper (produce abondance).

The origin and basic meaning of the word “hell” had nothing to do with an other-worldly, afterlife place or with a place of eternal torment and punishment with no hope of escape. The word Hell is derived from an Anglo-Saxon word meaning “to conceal", or "to cover". The word helmet is also derived from this same etymology, root, and meaning - a helmet covers, conceals, and protects the head. Thus, Hell is not the abode or state of being of evil spirits or souls that are damned to punishment.

Men of Valor as Disciples of Yah: Disciple of the kingdom of YahWah (Holy One of Israel)

Scriptures: Isaiah
TopicsTopics: Israel, Jacob's Trouble, The Knowledge of Elohim

The phrase “Holy One of Israel” is a notable one that appears just over 30 times in the Tanakh (incorrectly called the Old Testament) and primarily in the book of Isaiah. The phrase is important for multiple reasons. The first is that YHWH, creator of all, would choose to identify Himself in context to His union with a chosen group of people at all.

Note: chosen - { having been selected as the best or most appropriate. }

Even more interesting is that Elohim uses the term Holy One of Israel rather than the "Holy One of Jacob." Israel is often referred to as Jacob when HIS lack of covenant faithfulness is in view because the transition from Jacob to Israel is a conversion from an untrustworthy schemer to one transformed through a divine touch from Elohim. Jacob highlights weakness and failure, whereas Israel highlights the fulfillment of covenant promises. When Elohim rebukes Israel for HIS faithfulness, He specifically chooses to call Himself not the Elohim of Jacob, but the Elohim of Israel. No matter how severe Israel’s sin is or how deserved Israel’s disciple may be, El remains Israel’s Elohim and continues to see Israel in context to HIM inheriting all the promises.

Note: disciple - { a follower or student of a teacher, leader, or philosopher - one who accepts and assists in spreading the doctrines of another: a convinced adherent of a school or individual }

Ref. 16: 3 For I am YHWH your Elohim, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place. 14 Thus says YHWH, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: "For your sake I will send to Babylon, And bring them all down as fugitives— The Chaldeans, who rejoice in their ships. Spirituality, Metaphysical and Philosophical

Spirituality is experiential and metaphysics is philosophical. The very core of our reality is spiritual metaphysics. Metaphysics is the study of human experiences that are non-physical. These are spiritual in nature and can not be measured by any physical sense. Thus, spirituality is distinct from religiosity.

The essence of spirituality is predicated upon Spiritual intelligence while much of our physical display, in essence, is predicated upon religiosity or existential intelligence. Spiritual intelligence is the power that give rise to all Knowledge. It is what takes us beyond our mind, our thinking, our conditioning and the influence of our mental environment in which we live. "Spiritual intelligence is the central and most fundamental of all the intelligences, because it becomes the source of guidance for the others." ~ Stephen Covey "Spiritual Intelligence", author Steven Benedict outlined the concept as a perspective offering a way to bring together the spiritual and the material, that is ultimately concerned with the well-being of the universe and all who live there.

The 12 principles underlying spiritual intelligence

  • Self-awareness: Knowing what I believe in and value, and what deeply motivates me.
  • Spontaneity: Living in and being responsive to the moment.
  • Being vision- and value-led: Acting from principles and deep beliefs, and living accordingly.
  • Holism: Seeing larger patterns, relationships, and connections; having a sense of belonging.
  • Compassion: Having the quality of "feeling-with" and deep empathy.
  • Celebration of diversity: Valuing other people for their differences, not despite them.
  • Field independence: Standing against the crowd and having one's own convictions.
  • Humility: Having the sense of being a player in a larger drama, of one's true place in the world.
  • Tendency to ask fundamental "Why?" questions: Needing to understand things and get to the bottom of them.
  • Ability to reframe: Standing back from a situation or problem and seeing the bigger picture or wider context.
  • Positive use of adversity: Learning and growing from mistakes, setbacks, and suffering.
  • Sense of vocation: Feeling called upon to serve, to give something back.

"SQ, or spiritual intelligence, underpins IQ and EQ. Spiritual intelligence is an ability to access higher meanings, values, abiding purposes, and unconscious aspects of the self and to embed these meanings, values, and purposes in living richer and more creative lives. Signs of high SQ include an ability to think out of the box, humility, and an access to energies that come from something beyond the ego, beyond just me and my day-to-day concerns." ~ SQ (spiritual intelligence)

Spirituality is basically how we relate to spirit.

Spirit, in it's basic sense, is the Universal Life Force. It is most often conceived as the universal life force running within and between all things in some forms of vitalism.

Various cultural traditions postulate the existence of this esoteric energy. This kind of energy is usually associated with breath: for example qi in Taoist philosophy, prana in Hindu belief, or the "breath of life" (neshamah-chayim) given by God to Adam in the Abrahamic creation story. Thus energy became closely associated with concepts of an animating spirits of the soul (nephesh) of living beings (human, animal or angels).

The universal life force energy (chi or chai), is present within every living thing moving via chakras and meridians. It is the life force (living energy) that sustains the life of organs, cells, tissue, and blood.

Money; manifesting the Spiritual into the Material

Spirituality is the ultimate reality, both material and non-material; it is the inner path enabling a person to discover the essence of his/her being; or the "deepest values and meanings by which people live." Spirituality is not religion nor necessarily affiliated with religion. The essence of spirituality is the search to know our true selves, to discover the real nature of consciousness and how we fit in it.

Spirituality in a broad sense is a concern with matters of the spirit. It is a wide term with many available readings. It may include belief in supernatural powers, as in religion, but the emphasis is on personal experience. Usually a persons own private beliefs in regard to nature or ethical matters. Spiritualities are often viewed as sensitivity or attachment to religious values or to things of the spirit as opposed to material or worldly interests.

Activities associated with spirituality are those which renew, lift up, comfort, heal and inspire those with whom we interact as well as ourselves. Spirituality provide a sense of meaning and purpose, a sense of self and 'that which is greater than self'. It is also practices such as meditation and 'bonding rituals' which support such identity and relationship. Religion represents only a minor subset of the overall themes of spirituality and spiritual practices. However, religion may in some cases hinder rather than assist in spiritual development, especially in the workplace as expressed in organisations in issues such as 'belonging' (identification with).

However, Spirituality is more of a way of living that emphasises a constant awareness of the spiritual dimension of nature, with acknowledgement of its contractual relationship between the material world and the spiritual. Spirituality gives one an inner sense of something greater than oneself. It is recognition of an existence that transcends one's immediate circumstances.

Spirituality in Education

Education should be esoteric in nature. It should provide a "drawing out" of the kind of knowledge that is inseparable from one's own being. Education should include inner education that answers the most simple yet fundamental questions that are asked by every child. In short it should satisfy the mystery of being alive. Education should bring us to the realisation that the spiritual governs and controls the material everywhere. We should come to realize that all of earthly existence is therefore impregnated with meaning, value and the possibility.

Spiritual Disciplines

Every goal we set and reach in life involve both the spiritual and physical discipline to achieve success!

Discipline is any activity, within our power, inwhich we engage in order to enable us to do that which we cannot do by our direct effort. Spirituality means something different to everyone. Most of us sense that there is something greater than the concrete world we see with our physical eyes. As our brain processes sensory experiences, we naturally look for patterns. We then seek to find meaning in the patterns. Spirituality is the meaning we apply to that which exist beyond the limits of our physical senses. Thus, Spiritual Discipline is that Path of study and learning we take to improve our awareness of the nonphysical and how we can use such knowledge to enhance our mental, physical and social well-being.

Spiritual discipline can and will help us in every aspect of living! Spiritual Wellness is that personal path through the course of life, involving values and beliefs that provide a sense of purpose in our lives. Self improvement is more than just our physical growth, it is also our spiritual growth; that inner peace through, meditation, positive thinking for achieving success.

"The quote by Albert Einstein 'Setting an example is not the main means of influencing another; it is the only means,' is the most effective way to foster sustainable behavior in my opinion. Leading by example is the only way to outwardly show commitment and obtain credibility."
