Education is the first step towards Prosperity
Prosperity Education or Education for Prosperity
Life is what you make it, however without the proper education, you cannot make a good lifestyle. It takes a fair amount of knowledge
and the correct understanding in order to make life worth living.
Education is that medium that provide for us the necessary skills, techniques, data we need to form the proper knowledge that we use to
understand and preform our duties towards our society which includes our families and our nation. Thus, the importance of education is a
huge aspect of our wellbeing. Education helps everyone develop a good perspective of the world (society) and the planet. It is education
that helps us in creating new ideas and exploring old ideas with new insight.
Education is what helps to grow a country
When the citizens of a country understand their true potential it helps them get a good-paying job, or build a business. This help the person
in providing a good economic status for their family. Education also teaches the individual the importance of differentiating between good and
bad, the difference between right and wrong. The better the person is educated, the more able they become in improving their country. The
educated individuals can help in creating jobs, which in turn, helps in solving the country's problem of unemployment.
There is a strong correlation between the workforce of a state and the education of it's citizens. A well-educated workforce result in a
high-wage workforce. Therefore, governments can build an economic systems with a strong foundation for success by investing in education that
is geared towards a shared prosperity for its residents. The state governments which provide access to high quality education will strengthen
their overall economy for their state.
Bottom line, investing in education is good for a state's budget because the strength of a States' economy can increase their ability to
attract high-wage employers which attracts well-educated workers, which in turn, helps to grow the States' economy.
Global Responsibility
It is the duty of every global citizen to make sure that those around them receive a basic quality education. We should
all accept supporting quality education as a fundamental and universal duty. When every child, every person, receives
an education, they are able to make better decisions and take right actions in their daily lives. This could reduce
the problems each and everyone faces around the planet.
Global responsibility is about being consciously aware of our interconnectivity and interdependency with people all over the world.
It is when we recognize that change needs to take place at the personal, organisational and systemic levels. This change happens through proper education.
It has been stated that Nelson Mandela said that "education is the most powerful weapon we can use to
change the world". I believe in this idea as changing the world requires that we first change minds. Education is
an excellent tool of persuasion, it should be an effective tool to change minds.
Education as a key to wealth
While education is no guarantee to wealth, it can significantly improve one's chances of achieving
financial success. Education is the first stepping stone to a high-paying career. Usually, individuals
who reach higher levels of education tend to earn more income than those individuals with lower levels of education.
Research shows that people who are well-educated tend to make better financial decisions which helps them to build
wealth. Therefore, those who earn a higher income also tend to accumulate more wealth.
Education could help the poor. It can end poverty. With just the basic reading skills, millions of people could escape
extreme poverty. If all adults achieve a secondary education, it could reduce the global poverty rate.
Thus, investments in education could lead to an increased economic growth, which would include higher salaries for
individuals, greater workforce effectiveness, and a higher gross domestic product.
Entrepreneurs and Business Owners are at the top of the list of occupations often associated with a higher
likelihood of producing millionaires.
