Family Values - The family who worship together, stays together!
Use your time wisely
Manage your energy in proportions required to be at your best. This will help you, your family and your work to excel
spiritually and financially. We work to provide the best of the material things our family needs. However, our family must
have access to us to provide them with personal and spiritual fulfillment.
Managing time for your family will strengthen family ties. This will make the time at home enjoyable. A joyous family
life will provide an increase of energy and reduce stress related health problems. When you are not burden by stress, your
mental, spiritual and physical health improves. Thus, your outlook on life is more productive and brings increased satisfaction.
Your work in business and at home
Stress is the result of feeling a loss of control over your life. It is accompanied by feelings of anger, frustration and
guilt. Children and your spouse can sense your emotions and will suffer from your stress. They experience anger, unloved and
feelings of confusion when they don't know the source of the stress.
Your work in business and at home or with family members is negatively affected by stress. Elderly family members will
often feel left behind by their children when your work take too much of your time. This will result in them feeling unhappy,
lonely and even angry at times. Your productivity and efficiency in work or business will decrease. This will require more
effort and time toward your business to maintain the same productivity, creating even more stress.
Because stress is usually a sense of loss of control, you can reduce stress in your life by organizing your time. Communicate
with your family. Use everyone's time and energy wisely. Schedule appointments, meetings, and special family occasions and
fun times together. Holding family meetings regularly will help prepare for up coming events. Use them to establish family
goals also. Discuss problems and the solution and be sure to divide the work of accomplishing the goals between the household.
Take personal time for yourself but be sure to spend time with each child separately and with your spouse as well. It is
reported that as little as 15 minutes a day of undivided attention spent with your child can help them feel good about themselves.
When you take time to relax and reflect on the day and spiritual matters, your body and mind will inter a rested state of
being. Just a few minutes alone each day to reflect on the Almighty will make a world of difference. You will be better able
to meet the demands and responsibilities of family and work. And don't forget to exercise. Exercising as a family promotes
good physical and mental health for all members of the family. It is recommended to exercise for at least 20 to 60 minutes
a day, 3 to 5 days a week. And, if you are just starting an exercise program, it is good to talk to your family physician
first.
Mealtime is a special time
Take this opportunity to enjoy one another. Share several meals together every week. It's best to share at least one
meal a day together. This gives each family member a chance to share his or her day's experience with the rest of the family.
Mealtime can be even more enjoyable and made to feel important when everyone shares in the preparation. Children can benefit
also from the early experience in the kitchen.
Eat right and eat nutritiously. Planing meals ahead of time will mean fewer hours in the kitchen at mealtime. A nutritious
meal means a balanced diet everyday. This includes fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, dried peas, beans and nuts.
Also a healthy portion of Spiritually, thanking the Almighty for the blessing you receive.
